If you notice, I am the only one to put my name on this because I am not afraid to let people know who I am. I am the proud mother of two school-aged children. I am also hetrosexual and happily married for 12 years, but my husband and I teach our children tolerence for difference. Our God and church do not judged people for their personal choices.
We all need to remember that we are all sinners, and if God can forgive our sins, why can't he forgive homosexuals. What people do behind closed doors is their choice. I know there are bigger problems going on right now, in everyones lives, than judging other people.
I believe that the subject of homosexual marriage is just like the subject of bi-racial marriage was 20-30 years ago. I believe people are scared that homosexuals getting married will change their marriages. How, if your marriage is strong it won't.
Parents should teach ALL CHILDREN, regardless of their beliefs and fears, TOLERENCE. Gays aren't going anywhere, they've been around as long as time has gone by, it's just now they are coming out. I'm not afraid, nor intimidated by gays. They have a right to be happy just like the rest of us.
And for those who say they choose their livestyle. Please, would you choose a livestyle that you would be criticized everytime you turned around, to be scared of telling people who you were, to have to defend yourself all of time.
A good question to ask those 'intolerant, haters,' as I call them. Who are you to judge? Don't stand behind the Bible, yes I am a faithful church member that believes deeply in our glorious Lord. I believe he is a welcoming wonderful being that will open his arms for all and I mean "ALL," who ask to be forgiven when our time comes to enter heaven.
If we all taught our children, to love and except people for all of our differences, we would all live in a much better world!!
