Chuck Melley is the Director of Public Affairs at ETS (Educational Testing Service), the world's largest non-profit assessment and research organization, where he oversees outreach, Federal relations and issue management. Before he joined ETS in September 2001, Melley was a consultant in communications, government and public relations for corporations, associations and non-profits.

Prior to that, Melley was a Presidential appointee at the Department of Commerce, serving as Deputy Director of Public Affairs, Office of the Secretary, in the Department of Commerce, and as Chief of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs at Commerce's Minority Business Development Agency.

Melley also worked in affiliate relations for the National Education Association, did political and press work for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and began his career on Capitol Hill. Melley has held positions in numerous national political campaigns over the last 20 years.
