The Campus Kitchen Project (CKP) will mark its fifth anniversary with a leadership conference on October 5-7. Students from around the country, along with project staff and coordinators, will come together in Washington, DC, for three days of leadership development, strategic planning, and celebration of their incredible work.

The Campus Kitchens Project is an emerging leader in community service for students and resourceful anti-hunger programs for communities around the country. CKP empowers thousands of students each year to recycle food from their cafeterias, turn these donations into nourishing meals, and deliver those meals to those who need it most in communities across the country. CKP also opens up on-campus kitchen spaces to teach culinary skills to unemployed men and women, who in turn teach the college students about poverty and stereotypes.
