Bush and Kerry Complete Connect for Kids Homework AssignmentPublished: August 30, 2004Candidates submit answers to a series of questions about kids, family and community issues August 30, 2004 – Connect for Kids (CFK) gave the two candidates for President, Republican George W. Bush and Democrat John Kerry, a homework assignment – to outline their position on an array of kids’ issues, with no editing and no word limits. The two candidates not only turned in their assignment on time, their answers were “thorough and impressive,” said CFK executive director Cecilia Garcia. “We’re thrilled that readers of our Web site will have an unfiltered kid-focused lens into both campaigns in the days leading up to the election. This is unprecedented for Connect for Kids.” With the election little more than two months away, voters can find out how Kerry and Bush stand on funding for schools, health care, school safety, family-friendly job creation and more.
