Organizations, Taking ActionThe Center, located at the University of South Florida's Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute, serves to centralize research, public education, and outreach activities benefiting the citizens of Florida. Our efforts include maintaining a repository of statistical data, the development of child well-being indicators, providing technical assistance and consultation services, linkage to comprehensive policy analysis, and research in program development. The Florida KIDS COUNT project is one of the activities here in the Center. The Casey Foundation support KIDS COUNT projects in more than 50 areas of the United States to raise public awareness and accountability for the condition of kids and families. KIDS COUNT in Delaware is one of fifty-one similar projects throughout the United States funded by The Annie E. Casey Foundation. Through this project housed at the University of Delaware in the Center for Community Research and Service, we bring together the best available data to measure health, economic, educational and social well-being of children in Delaware. This effort is joined with Govenor Minner's commitment to children and families through the Families Count initiative, which expands upon the ten core tracking indicators of National KIDS COUNT. At CAHS, we envision a Connecticut where no man, woman or child goes without. And the greater we dream, the greater the difference we can make. Our Vision for Connecticut Every child has enough to eat. The Colorado Children's Campaign is the leading voice for children in Colorado. Today, there are more than 1.1 million children in Colorado - and that number and their needs are growing. We create hope and opportunity for not just one of those children, or 100 children or 1,000 children - but 1,000,000 Colorado children at a time. The mission of Arkansas Advocates for Children & Families is to protect and promote through research, education and advocacy the rights and well-being of Arkansas children and their families, to assure that they have the opportunity to lead healthy and productive lives. As guiding principles in accomplishing our mission, AACF adopts the following statements. In short, the principals relate to the simple beliefs that every child is entitled to grow up in a family; that every child is entitled to a safe and stable home; that every child has a right to grow up healthy; and that every child is entitled to an education.
