According to a new analysis by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the percentage of U.S. high school students who have ever had sexual intercourse fell from 54.1 percent to 45.6 percent between with associated declines in gonorrhea, pregnancy, and birth rates among adolescents.

One in four women seeking family planning services from a medical provider finds contraceptive and related health services at a publicly supported family planning clinic. These publicly supported services have helped prevent 1.3 million unintended pregnancies each year and narrowed the historic differences in access to family planning services based on race and income, according to this report from the Alan Guttmacher Institute.
